The route takes you through a variety of landscapes, from coastal plains to thick tropical plants. When you get there, take a leisurely nature walk or birding route and look for colorful native species in the rainforest canopy. As you get ready for bed, listen to the sounds of the river and jungle.

DAY

Trek through the rainforest in Kitulgala, do optional river activities, and then go to Nallathanniya for the night.

Start your day with a guided walk through Kitulgala’s green rainforest, where you’ll see waterfalls, vines, and tall trees full of birds and butterflies. People who want to have fun can sign up for optional canyoning or river-based activities. In the afternoon, head toward Nallathanniya, which is at the base of Adam’s Peak. When you get there, you’ll be in a tranquil mountain community where you may relax and think.

DAY

Climb Adam's Peak at sunrise, go about the village, and spend the night in Nallathanniya.

Set out in the early morning to climb Adam’s Peak, a holy mountain, under the stars so you may reach the top by daybreak. See amazing vistas of rolling mountains and valleys below as the mist clears. Take your time going down and spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the village paths nearby, taking in the area’s spiritual serenity.

Travel over winding mountain roads to Haputale, a highland village with a cold temperature that is surrounded by huge tea farms. Go to the famous Lipton’s Seat viewpoint, where you can see tea-covered slopes and distant plains for miles. Enjoy the pure mountain air while walking along estate pathways and learning about the history of Ceylon tea. You may rest in the tranquil highlands in the evening.

DAY

Trek across Horton Plains, see World's End and Baker's Falls, then go to Nuwara Eliya for the night.

Get up early and go to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with grasslands and cloud forests. Hike to World’s End, a steep cliff with views of precipitous drops, and then go on to Baker’s Falls, which is really picturesque. Later, head to Nuwara Eliya and spend a relaxing evening on Gregory Lake or walking around the town’s colonial-era streets.

When you get there, you may hike up Little Adam’s Peak for some easy trekking and great views, or you can follow the route to the famous Nine Arches Bridge, which is surrounded by beautiful foliage. The laid-back vibe of Ella gives you time to relax at cafes or just take in the beautiful views.
